Hello! I just sent out a bulk mailing to 342 contacts. There was an error in the send so that the outbound was tried twice (the doubled email was not sent, so the system caught it and the error said the second email was not sent because it was a duplicate within 24hours).

However, Hub thinks that I have exceeded my daily limit of 500 (which I have not) and will not let me re-send the missing prospects. 

Can someone please help? I have about 80 (of the 342) that did not send.

Hey! Thanks for the detailed report, and sorry you're running into this! It looks like Hub may have counted the failed duplicate attempts against your daily limit even though those emails didn't actually send. That's definitely not the expected behavior, and we'll look into it.

A couple of things that may help in the meantime:

  • Wait for the daily reset - the 500/day limit refreshes each day, so you should be able to send to your remaining 80 contacts the next day
  • Subject line workaround - if you're also hitting the "sent within 24 hours" duplicate block on individual resends, changing one character in the subject line allows the email to go through again

I would really like the missing 80 to go out as soon as possible with the other 260 that went out today! These contacts speak to each other and may be offended if they don't receive the same email as others.

I cannot use the subject line workaround because I've "hit" the daily limit.

Hi there, it seems I had a similar issue with Sarah. I had an error in my first sendout to 395 recipients & sent a correction right after. That was only sent to a bit over a 100, which matches the 500 limit you mentioned above. I however detected the issue only now after a few days (bank holiday in between) & would now resend to the other 290 as well. They are in "added" state in the Correction newsletter send. How can I send to these 290 again?

Hi  @Ferdinand Mühlhäuser , as you describe above, and confirmed in my queries, it appears the 500 / day limit is working for your account.

I can republish the correction newsletter in our backend, which will retry the remaining sends. Want me to do so?
